simple prawn tender coconut stir fry (Kerala style) less ingredients


prawn tender coconut stir fry




cooking time:30 minutes

preperation time-30 minutes

serves-3 to 4
cuisine-Kerala
Ingredients:
prawns-500 gm
tender coconut-500    gm(cut into slices)
small onions-10 to 15(chopped)
ginger-2'' piece
green chili-3(sliced)
garlic-3 clove
curry leaves
mustard seeds-1 tsp
coconut oil-3 tbsp
salt
red chilly powder-1 tbsp
turmeric powder-1tsp

 procedure

1.Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,when they crackles add curry leaves,green chilies,chopped onions,ginger,garlic


2.when onion turns brown add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt & saute for 1 minute in low flame

3.Add prawns,tender coconut & mix well

4.Add some water & stir well,close with a lid and cook on medium flame
 5.open the lid and stir occasionally,(adjust the salt at this stage) till the curry become dry
 6.when the gravy become thick(water in the curry is completely evaporated),switch off the flame and add some fresh curry leaves & stir.
 6.The yummy prawn tender coconut stir fry is ready to serve.Serve with rice,chapati...
